Dynamic Supply Chain design
The purpose of this industrial Ph.D.
project is to clarify and describe why dynamic capabilities are important to
understand and control, in a supply chain perspective. How it can be used to
achieve competitiveness and what should be done to execute it. This will be
developed through 4 work package.
The four work packages are:
- The current supply chain situation
- How can supply chain design become a dynamic capability?
- Sypply chain strategy
- How should supply chain strategy be linked to corporate- and business strategy?
- Supply chain complexity
- What are the relationship(s) between supply chain design and supply chain complexity?
- Dynamic management and leadership
- What kind of managemnet and leadership skills are needed to develop, operate and maintain a dynamic supply chain design?
Method
The overall methodology chosen is
multiple case studies with multiple units of analysis,
which will be investigating elements of the supply chain design. In each
work package a series of semi-structured interviews will take place.
Empirical Foundation
- Field study of a global suplly chain with multiple case studies and semi-structured interviews
